Attune Technologies to participate in the HIM conference in Mumbai
Attune Technologies will be participating in the three-day Hospital and Infrastructure Management (HIM) Exhibition and Conference due to take place between 12-14th December, 2014. The mega event is expected to be an answer to India’s growing expenditure on hospital expenditure, which is half of the total healthcare spending in 2014, according to the latest report. Pharmaceuticals (25%), Insurance & Medical equipment (15%) and other (10%) expenditures form the rest of the components of the total spending on healthcare.
This year, the exhibition is set to be bigger than ever before with more than 100 exhibitors and an estimated 4,000 trade visitors. The HIM Conference is seen as a huge opportunity for businesses connected with healthcare infrastructure such as healthcare IT, furniture and interiors, security systems, landscape and building materials, radiology and equipment, patient technologies, entertainment, safety and sterilization, and waste management. According to a report, it is estimated that an additional 450,000 hospital beds will be required in the coming years to meet demands – an investment estimated at $27.5 billion for which the government is expected to contribute 15-20% leaving enormous opportunities for private players to fill the gap.
